Q
Hey yonderbeasties! Think you'll ever do another mask video? It'd be awesome to see the Wampus Cat in action (thought I'm kinda biased haha) for the other one maybe the Gila Queen or the hawaiian mask?
A

Hi there emerald-isle-serpent, It’s good to hear from you! Another mask video would be fun! Unfortunately I just moved to NY and my own masks are in storage at my parent’s house :/ My new apartment is too small to house everything at once. I do still have my mask collection with me, but none of my own pieces. When I visit my parent’s place I’ll try to pick up Wampus and see what I can do :)

Life has sort of been getting in the way of me doing my own art lately, but I finally finished the first in a (possible) series about real life famous animals.
All gouache, all the time.

A commission I completed a few months ago for a happy little Rikki Tikki design. The idea was to have it done in a sort of Robert Lawson-esque style (…if only I were as talented as he was!). I also included a few of my initial sketches.

Now that I am living with a Swedish person, I have made it my mission to work at least one Dalahäst into every room of my apartment. Here is an old wooden table that I repainted this week.

Q
Have you ever drawn anthros before?
Anonymous
A

It depends on your definition. I wouldn’t classify myself as an anthro artist exactly, but I do sometimes draw animals with human-like characteristics (especially when dealing with mythology or folklore). I’ve always loved drawing animals; it is by far the most enjoyable thing for me to draw, even though I force myself to practice other things.

A recent Pokémon binge has inspired these Team Rocket prints. I just can’t get enough of them (even though they’re in pretty much every episode).

I don’t often post work from my day job, but I liked the bird in this one. This is the last chalkboard I did for Whole Foods before moving, and most likely the last chalkboard I’ll do professionally (at least for awhile).
